With so many different dresses to choose from it’s hard to decide what style of dress to wear on that special day. First things first you’ll need to get an idea of what the bride and bridesmaids are wearing so you can look as spot on as possible. Now chances are you already know what time of year the wedding is going to be so this will make choosing your mother of the groom dresses and styles much easier. If your one of the fortunate mothers who get’s to attend a beach wedding and wear a summer mother of the groom dresses then your choices are going to be very easy from a short to tea length dress and even sandals to top it all off so the beach wedding is a snap.

Not only is the wedding full of happiness we all know that everything leading up to it can full of stress. So there’s no point in having dress stress when we can have all the bases covered well before the big day. Now if were going for a totally coordinated look I would recommended a call to the mother of the bride as well so you both can agree on a dress theme to look your best in all those wedding photos. You both don’t have to match perfectly however it’s a good idea not to both be on the opposite spectrum of dress design and or colors.

We all know that a lot goes into choosing the perfect dress so it doesn’t hurt to put some extra time and thought into the preparation so you ready for just about anything the wedding may throw at you on the big day. For instance, if it’s a summer wedding and it’s outside you’ll have a good idea of the temperature however on the big day you can get a surprise in the way of 20+ unexpected degrees and it sure doesn’t hurt to be prepared. The same goes for a fall or winder wedding, you can bring a sweater or a shawl and add clothing if your cold and visa verse if your hot.

Comfort is also an important factor. Although you don’t want to make comfort your primary goal obviously looking great comes first but you don’t want to be miserable either so break your new shoes in well before the big day and make sure your dress isn’t 2 sizes to small. All to often we buy our dresses a month or three in advance with a plan of shedding those extra ten pounds before the wedding. Either make sure you have some room to play in your dress or some adjustment so your not miserable with no room for all the good food at the reception.

Finally the day you have been waiting for is here. You’ve chosen the perfect dress and blend beautifully with the bride, mother of the bride and the bridesmaids. Your ready for anything weather wise and your hair, makeup, nails are all perfect. You’ve seen all the mother of the groom dresses and styles and you can enjoy the wedding and have no dress stress what so ever.
