Skip the Mother of the Groom Dresses Choose the Queen’s Style

The tabloids, style networks, and online celebrity scoop networks are simply raving about the Queen’s canary yellow getup that she sported to the Royal Wedding. Although the mother of the groom dresses such as Camilla’s champagne number, and Carole’s baby blue coat suit was a smash hit- the Queen’s Yellow dress impressed style critics and fashion experts alike. The raves included about the queen state that although she is up there in age, she stays within her guidelines of looking fashionable in every way at her age. Let’s evaluate her dress choice, and analyze her dress to see why it has become the most talked about thing in forever:

Why the Queen?

  1. Yellow- First of all, perhaps it was her choice of color. Yellow is a perfect spring color, for a wedding taking place a week after the Easter holiday. It must be her color, because wow did it pop her features and youthful looking skin right out. Yellow can not be pulled off by all, so it just may have been that no one else there was spirited enough to choose an un-bland hue. This made her statement, and also set her apart from the others who appeared washed out.
  2. The hat- We are all very familiar with how important hats are to the British. The Queen chose yellow, however she also wore a perfectly matched hat that emphasized the color and design even more so than a normal dress would. Its not always the dress that makes the woman, but the hat that is used to accessorize that really enhances an appearance.
  3. The shoes- Hmmmm…The shoes, I do not remember the shoes nor do I remember anyone mentioning the shoes. This goes to show that maybe the dress and hat can speak for themselves. With the striking look of the canary yellow hat and dress, no one focused on the Queen’s shoes.

The Queen once condemned for her stiff values of royalty, for snubbing a beloved princess, and for often being considered a royal snot should not be idolized for her idiosyncrasies- just her dress etiquette and obvious style preferences. As an older royal, this woman even has out dressed the stuffiest of her contenders being Camilla at best, however the yellow siren could not have made a better choice to map her way back up the charts as a most stylish diplomat.

Princess Beatrice put her Royal Wedding hat on eBay! Money goes to charity and she’ll never wear it again, a win win.
